These striking earrings are based on an a detail from an original Ming Dynasty "Hanfu" robe. The dragon is a divine creature, symbolising good fortune and the Emperor. A robe of this quality would have been worn in the royal court. In China today, luxurious Hanfu robes, particularly Ming, are super on-trend, and cost many months salary.
These earrings are made from aluminium and therefore super-lightweight. They are so comfortable to wear. The earrings drop 4cm from a sterling silver stud as shown (select post & butterfly fitting). Other sterling silver fittings can be selected.
I craft all pieces by hand in my studio, being classically trained at Birmingham School of Jewellery. The item comes beautifully packaged, ready for gifting.
