Design based on a Japanese silk screen, covered with gold. The screen depicts a classic Japanese pheasant, made originally by famed screen-maker Ikegami Shuho, in the twenties.
This design is a print onto an aluminium pendant. The underlying brushed aluminium glints to emphasise the gold colouring, the gently domed body catching the light.
Very lightweight at just 2 grams, despite its size (5 cm pendant height), and fitted onto sterling silver curb chain. So comfortable to wear. The colour is sealed inside the surface by anodising. The item comes beautifully packaged, ready for gifting. I craft all pieces by hand in my studio, being classically trained at Birmingham School of Jewellery.
